Terms & Conditions
We know — nobody loves reading terms and conditions. But it’s important that you know how we work, so here’s everything explained in plain English. No legal jargon, no small print, just common sense and transparency.
1. General
Fly Stansted Taxis is operated by SBS Private Hire Limited. By booking with us, you agree to the terms below. These help keep things fair, safe, and running smoothly for everyone.
2. Bookings
- • All bookings must be made in advance, either online or via phone/message.
- • It’s your responsibility to check that your details (date, time, pickup point, destination, flight number etc.) are correct.
- • Online bookings are confirmed instantly; phone or message bookings are confirmed once you receive written or verbal confirmation from us.
- • Prices are based on the information provided at the time of booking.
3. Pricing & Payments
- • All fares are quoted in GBP (£) and include standard parking, tolls, and taxes unless otherwise stated.
- • Waiting time beyond the first free 10 minutes at a pickup (excluding airports) may incur additional charges.
- • Payment is required in full before travel unless you have a pre-approved account or have been invoiced by prior agreement.
- • Return booking discounts and other promotions only apply to eligible online bookings as stated on our promotional terms page.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
- • We understand plans change! You can cancel with at least 12 hours’ notice for a full refund.
- • Cancellations made within 12 hours of the pickup time may be subject to a partial or full charge depending on driver allocation.
- • “No shows” (when a passenger does not appear at the pickup point) are non-refundable.
- • Refunds are processed within 3–5 working days.
5. Airport Pickups
- • Flight arrivals are monitored — if your flight is delayed or early, we adjust your pickup time automatically.
- • The quoted price includes up to 60 minutes of waiting time after your flight lands.
- • After this period, additional waiting charges may apply.
- • Customers not opting for Meet & Greet are collected from the Express Set Down area (same level as the terminal).
6. Vehicle Types & Capacity
- • The vehicle type booked will be provided unless unavailable, in which case we may upgrade you at no extra cost.
- • Please ensure you book a suitable vehicle for your group size and luggage. (Our fleet guide helps you choose the right one.)
- • We can’t accept responsibility for additional passengers or luggage not declared at the time of booking.
7. Delays & Liability
- • While we always aim to be on time, traffic, weather, or incidents beyond our control may cause unavoidable delays.
- • We recommend allowing sufficient time for your journey, especially for airport departures.
- • Fly Stansted Taxis cannot accept liability for missed flights due to factors beyond our control.
8. Conduct & Safety
- • For everyone’s comfort and safety, seatbelts must be worn at all times.
- • No smoking, vaping, or open alcohol is permitted in vehicles.
- • Drivers have the right to refuse travel to any passenger whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate — with no refund given in such cases.
9. Lost Property
If you leave something behind (it happens!), we’ll do our best to locate it and get it back to you. Items found in vehicles are held for 28 days before being donated or disposed of. Collection or return delivery can be arranged — sometimes with a small charge.
10. Privacy
We respect your privacy — we only collect information needed to manage your booking and never share your details with anyone else. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
